Three weeks ago we were on the verge of losing our trails after Irma’s visit.
In desperation we sent out a call for help hoping for a few people to show up so we could start clearing up a path to estimate the devastation.
The South Florida mountain biking community came together and showed up like nothing we would have ever expected.
Local bike stores, vendors, reps, and volunteers came together and showed the City of Miami how important V.K is to them.
We were in constant communication with Kevin Kirwin the City of Miami parks and recreation Director with weekly report.
Last week, after seeing all the hard work that was done in such a short time, 6 miles cleared and ready, he gave us the OK to re open.
After all the work done this weekend, we put down October the 14th as our re opening date.
We will be re opening with a ride as a fundraising event, infos coming up soon.
