So as many of you may know we at the VKBC were lucky enough to have some wood donated to us by Mack Cycle through Sheridan Lumber. We are also buying some more from Shell Lumber, who have been kind enough to give us a break on the price of what we buy. What you may not know is what that wood is for…
Over the course of the week several volunteers have been constructing what are called Technical Trail Features, now you may ask what is this? There is one simple answer, come out and find out this Sunday at 9am. Once again we will be out there in force to get the new trail opened, there you will find out the true value of wood.
Now this Sunday January 15th we will be working on moving some more dirt to make berms, the good news is that the trucks moved most of this dirt for us last week so basically we are going to need to move and shape berrms.
For those of you that are not sure on how to make a berm we will be having a hands on class on the proper method of construction, the admission fee is a couple of loads of dirt from the pile!
I know this will a great day out there, we will have Gatoraid and Water for the volunteers. However this time you have to bring out your own food.
Hope to see you all out there!
