Alright guys and girls, we have a goal to open up at least one new trail within the next month! Now this is an attainable goal but we need your help, mainly in the form of labor and for those of you who have the resources in donations of building supplies or money for building supplies.
We have our first work day scheduled for Jan 8th please come out and volunteer!
This is a list that we have complied of what is needed to open up this new trail, if you are able to provide any of these items please contact us through the club emailVirginiaKeyBicycleClub@gmail.com and we can arrange for pickups or for you to come by and donate what you can we will pay for gas and tolls, if it is an incentive for you to bring stuff out…
Building Supplies Needed
1. Pressure treated wood in any of these measurements: 2×4,2×6, 2×8, 4×4, 4×6
2. Yard Timber, 3x3x8 or x10 rounded edges, these are the ones that people use around their gardens, they make excellent sign posts as well as decorative edging for trails.
3. Cement Bags
4. Rebar 1/2in x 4 ft,
5. Hardware Fasteners, Screws, Bolts, Washers and Nuts
6. Gift cards, we are more than happy to receive Gift Cards for any hardware store or anywhere that you think will be good for the trails.
7. Any tools or equipment that you might have lying around that you do not need we will gladly also use that as well.
